Manufacture de Digoin Eanameled Earthenware Serving Spoon
These enameled stoneware serving spoons by Manufacture de Digoin in Encre bleu nuit or Bleu de Gris are a beautifully handcrafted Artisan range and every piece is unique!
The 17th Century pottery in Bourgogne closed and was reopened in 2014 by Corinne Jourdain who has brought the pottery back to life using all the original moulds and updating them with vibrant colours .
These designs are based on the original 17th Century pieces , the firing of the pottery is carried out at very high temperatures (1250c) which fixes the enamel and ensures that the material retains extreme strength and resistance.
These make a lovely gift as they come packaged in a plain brown box which fits the aesthetic beautifully , the cup of the spoon is blue on both the front and back and has the seal of De Digoin stamped on the handle.
